I am Andrew Peng, a 11th grader in California. I am an AIME and JMO qualifier, and I have been a math instructor for a few years. I have also been actively participating in math competitions since 5th grade, from AMC to MathCounts to USMCA. In my free time, I like to play chess.
I co-founded AstroMath to help students in both the local and international community.
Hi, I’m Heidi Zhang, a 11th grader from Massachusetts! Some of my hobbies include swimming, baking, and drawing. I’ve qualified for AIME 3 times and I also have over 30 hours of experience teaching younger kids. Additionally, I participate on my school’s math and science teams.
I’m Ashley Lu, a junior from Georgia! I’ve been participating in math competitions since 5th grade, and I’ve qualified for AIME twice. I am an officer of my school’s math team, and I like to draw in my free time.
My name is Michael Middlezong, and I am a 8th grader in New Jersey. I have participated in math contests since 4th grade. Since 6th grade, I have qualified for AIME each year. In addition to math, I have made Python and Scratch tutorials. In my free time, I like to develop games and write music.
Zoe Liu is the Co-Founder and CEO of Visionular Inc., Palo Alto, CA, a startup delivering Cloud SAAS video encoding and streaming products to enterprise customers worldwide. She previously was a Staff Engineer with Google and was a 2018 Google I/O speaker. Zoe has been devoted to the design and development of innovative products in the field of video codec and real-time video communications for 20+ years. She received her Ph.D. from Purdue University at West Lafayette, Indiana, and both her B.E. and M.E. from Tsinghua University, Beijing, all in Electrical Engineering.
Emily Huang is the director of infrastructure at HomeWorks Energy. Prior to that, she has over 20 years of experience leading large scale enterprise application development in financial and health industries. Emily holds a M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Iowa, and a B.S. In automation from Tsinghua University.
Chenyue Yuan has more than 25 years of experience as both an employee and principal of firms, working on healthcare projects across the world. She is a well-rounded architect who has deep medical planning knowledge both for U.S. healthcare and Chinese hospitals. She also enjoys being involved in each project from “concept planning through construction”. She prides herself on being an effective listener and providing a high quality of service. Chenyue received her M. Arch from Clemson University.
Hongjian Zhu had worked in the financial industry for over 15 years creating technology solutions for trading and analytics systems. In recent years, she has devoted her time to creating small businesses to promote education in math and science for younger kids. Hongjian Zhu received an M.S. degree in electronic engineering from UC Santa Barbara, and a B.S. degree in automation from Tsinghua University.

To keep up with the pace of the class, we normally accept 5-8th graders. However, if you have the passion and drive, anyone can join!
